To run the dialer, just click Start | Run and in the Run box,
type dialer.exe. This will open the dialer window.
You may want to create a shortcut on the desktop or quick launch
bar. Or you could put it in the Communications menu where it
belongs. Here's how:
Right click Start and select Explore all users from the context
menu.
In the left column, expand Programs, then Accessories, then
click Communications.
Click the File menu, select New and then select Shortcut.
In the dialog box, enter C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Dialer.exe
(substituting the drive letter where Windows is installed if
it's not on C:).
Click Next.
Enter a name for the shortcut (Phone Dialer).
Click Finish.
Another way to add the shortcut is to locate the dialer.exe
program in Windows Explorer (it's in the Program Files\Windows
NT folder) and right drag it to the All
Users\Programs\Accessories\Communications folder, then select
Create Shortcut Here.
