Scanning doesn't work with USB printer/scanners

If you have a multi-function device (printer/scanner or printer/copier/scanner) that connects to your computer via USB, you might find that you aren't able to successfully scan an image. This happens because Usbscan.sys doesn't load properly on certain devices. Luckily, there's a hotfix available that fixes this problem, but you'll need to call Microsoft Product Support Services to get it. Find out more in KB article 320549 at
