Disable the Desktop Cleanup Wizard.
Windows XP includes a Desktop Cleanup Wizard.
It's designed to remove unused items from your desktop. By
default, it tries to do its cleanup job every 60 days. But what
if you like your cluttered desktop and don't want it cleaned up
every two months. Right click an empty area of the desktop,
select Properties, select the Desktop tab, and click Customize
Desktop. On the General tab, uncheck the box that says Run
Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days. |
